Our Path to Better Understanding and Fulfilling Your Requirements
As we reflect on 2012 and our ongoing success and progress as Chicagoland’s commercial door and dock leader, we want to acknowledge, salute, and thank our valued customers. Without your partnership our efforts mean nothing. It’s easy to get caught up in the details of our work. The selling, quoting, planning, installing, fixing, maintaining, emergency service, and all the other activities that keep us busy year-round. But one thing we never get distracted from is communicating with our customers. It’s what keeps us informed, motivated and always on the path to better understanding and fulfilling your requirements.
This is why we’ve dubbed 2013 the “Year of Communication” at American Door and Dock. In late 2011 we set the stage for enhancing all our communications processes. We overhauled our website, greatly expanding our breadth & depth of service and product content. From product details to project case studies, we have continued to grow our online content throughout 2012. We started an email program to keep customers informed of news, advice & tips, product innovations, and special offers.
Throughout 2012 we worked to share insights via our Solutions Blog on how we add value and deliver ROI for our customers. Our blog updates are designed to communicate best practices and provide fresh angles to problem solving for your door and dock requirements and challenges. The home page of our website includes a section which lists the attributes we feel set us apart as a solution provider. It’s no coincidence that our strategic, consultative approach is at the top of that list. A big part of that strategy value will come from our communications initiatives in 2013 and beyond.
Our People Continue to Make the Difference
Our communications investments in 2011 and 2012 have effectively set the stage for more and better interactive customer dialogues in 2013 and beyond. We know that regardless of our communication methods, our people make the real difference. In 2012 we strengthened this commitment with the addition of several key people who are making a direct positive impact on our customers.
Communications Specialist Katie Jacobs follows up with customers to ensure that their work is done completely, accurately, and on time & budget. Katie enjoys working directly with customers to address questions and enhance communications. Solution Specialists Mike Elkin and Greg Kwolek bring a broad range of expertise to our operation. Mike has a strong knowledge of pedestrian doors as well as glass and aluminum storefronts. Greg is a commercial dock expert with over 13 years of industry experience. They both enjoy educating and informing customers on how to get the most out their door and dock investments.
We’re pleased to welcome Katie, Mike, and Greg to our team. They have made a big impact and we look forward to seeing more great things from them. In 2013 we aim to maximize the value our people have to offer through more and better communications including a web video initiative, more customer case study blog updates, virtual tours of recent projects, expanded product content on our website, and enhanced content on our mobile website.
We’re also actively pursuing internal operations and marketing initiatives designed to optimize the way we communicate with our customers. Our focus is on creating continuous open channels to help us better understand customer needs and deliver maximum value. We couldn’t do it without our dedicated employees. We’d like to thank all of them for making our customer partnerships successful.
Recognition for Our Efforts and Your Partnership
We’re proud to have our hard work and customer commitment recognized by two of our major suppliers. In 2012 we were honored with the Chamberlain/LiftMaster Award of Excellence for outstanding installation and service. We were also recognized by C.H.I. Overhead Door as a Silver Distributor for exceptional sales and customer service performance. We’d like to thank both LiftMaster and C.H.I. for their partnership and quality products. We’d especially like to thank our customers for giving us the opportunity to earn this recognition. It’s encouraging and rewarding for our entire staff.

I recently purchased a warehouse building with docks and large overhead doors. One of the tenants called to say the overhead door in the middle was damaged and would not close. My husband has used your company at his businesses. He recommends your company for
the quick and efficient service so he gave me your number. Your man Ben came out and assessed the situation. The door was temporarily shut to keep unwanted people out and the repairs were done surprisingly fast. The parts were not in stock and Ben went out of his way to locate them and get the door working properly in a surprisingly fast time frame. Quicker than promised. My tenants are happy and as a landlord that means everything to me. Thank you for fast efficient and quality service from beginning to end. O'Reilly Enterprises will always call you in the future.
