It all began in 1972, when Larry Hooker, Sr. had a vision to establish his own business. His dream started in a garage that he built in his mother’s backyard. Times were tough at first, and his wife was known to pick up and deliver new doors atop the family’s station wagon. Larry Sr.’s hallmark was his ability to provide 24 hour emergency service and to get the job right the first time.

The legacy of providing the highest caliber of service and products continues under the leadership of Larry Hooker, Jr. American prides itself on providing quality service, developing trust, and establishing partnerships. Just like during the early years, the backbone of our business is the patronage of small “ma & pop” clients that have trusted us for years. In 2006, the company’s name was changed to American Door and Dock to better represent the broad range of services offered. Our services and product line scope is nearly limitless.
